It is all about the odds here, the layout is nothing special but displaying how the odds are changing (coming in or going out) is a nice touch. The website is functional but could be described as clunky. The bookmaker has no live streaming service but instead it has a graphical display of the game which appears dated but does a job.

Coral is also one of the best sites for tennis betting, giving great odds on every (or nearly every) match being played. It has some promotions which can also be used for tennis but no specific tennis offers at the time of writing our review.
The homepage is very well-designed and has scrolling matches on the right, refreshing every 30 seconds with a new game, score, odds, and a link to watch a live stream.

When it comes to boosted odds, Sky Bet is one of the best tennis betting sites for this. It is very rare to have a page of tennis odds without any boosts. Sky Bet has an above average number of tennis betting markets available for you to choose from, and the odds are consistently low, ensuring that you receive great value regardless of your chosen bet.
In Play betting at Sky Bet is enhanced by the addition of both large screen live streaming and also a graphical representation of what is happening with some of the game statistics so far.

Tennis Betting Explained
When preparing for tennis betting, users can take advantage of a vast amount of information about athletes, including long-term statistics, results of recent matches, tennis news, current rankings, and more. Tennis betting also offers other advantages, which we will now discuss:
- Professional tennis is played by thousands of athletes, and major tournaments are held regularly, so punters can bet on tennis all year round.
- Tennis match streams are almost always available on betting sites in the tennis section. Fans of live betting can follow matches in real-time and place more informed bets.
- Refereeing in tennis is entirely transparent, and mistakes are practically excluded.
- Tennis punters have enormous opportunities to analyse upcoming tennis matches. For each player, you can find out the most convenient court covering, preferred tournaments, strong points, and more.
To place a tennis bet, a punter needs to find the necessary market in the selection of tennis markets to bet on a particular match in the tennis section, enter the stake amount, and confirm the bet. For more details on how to bet on tennis, visit the Wiki section of our website.
Tennis Betting Odds Understanding
When it comes to online tennis betting, the tennis betting odds are what will make the difference between making a profit, and making a loss. They are therefore of importance and you should make sure that you understand them and have some idea of what odds are good and what odds are bad for betting on tennis.
When setting odds, bookmakers will try to assess the probability of each player winning, or the probability of each scenario in the match happening. Then, when they have decided something has a certain % chance of happening, they will add their profit margin to it and make the odds offered to you slightly less than that. This is how bookmakers make a long run profit, and why you (almost certainly) will not. Things that the bookmakers consider likely to happen will have lower odds, known as “shorter” odds, so the odds for low-potential outcomes will be higher, known as “longer” odds.
Which Betting Site has the Best Tennis Odds?
To determine the margin in betting companies, let’s use a simple formula:
Margin = (1/odd of the 1st outcome + 1/odd of the 2nd outcome – 1) x 100.
Next, we compare the margin rates for 1/X/2 markets for betting on tennis events of various levels on the best tennis betting sites in the UK:
Tennis Betting Site | ATP Monte Carlo | ITF Santo Domingo | Challenger Madrid |
---|---|---|---|
Sky Bet | 6.41% | 5.77% | 6.82% |
Coral | 5.63% | 8.17% | 8.57% |
10bet | 4.76% | 8.67% | 7.46% |

Most Popular Tennis Betting Markets & Bet Types
Fancy taking a punt on tennis but unsure of the exact bet you want to place? Here, we will explain different bet types and the most popular tennis betting markets (and some of the more unusual ones), so you can select the best tennis betting market for you.
Match Winner
Match winner is the simplest of all tennis betting markets and therefore the most popular; here, you simply bet on the player you expect to win the match.
Tournament or Outright Winner
With outright betting on tennis, you bet on a player to win a particular tournament, not an individual match. For example, you might bet on Roger Federer to win Wimbledon.
Each-Way
Each-way tennis bets are similar to an outright bet but are effectively two bet types in one. Half of an each-way bet is a normal outright bet, paid at the given tennis odds. The other half of the bet is paid out for additional places (e.g. 1st and 2nd) but at lower tennis odds. So, if, for example, you place an each-way bet on Andy Murray at the ATP finals; if he fails to reach the final, your bet will lose. If he reaches the final and loses, you’ll win the each-way half of your bet, but lose the outright portion. The best outcome is if he wins (as he did in 2016), and thus you’ll win both parts of your wager.
Over/Under
Given the scoring system used in tennis, it’s ideal for placing such bet types as of over/under bets. Generally, you can place an O/U bet on either the number of games or the number of sets played. For example, you could bet on the fact that a match will be over 40.5 games. The exact figure will vary depending on the players involved and the match being played (for example, a women’s game usually consists of three sets while a men’s game involve five sets).
Spread (Handicap Betting)
Spread bets are one of the bet types that can be quite confusing when compared to the average tennis market, but we can clarify this with a simple example. In case of game handicap betting, you’re betting on a tennis player to win by a certain number of games, or finish within a certain number of games. For example, say you bet on Novak Djokovic to beat player Nick Kyrgios by a spread of -2.5. This would mean that Djokovic would need to win the match by more than 2.5 games. Spread betting can also be called handicap betting, and is recommended for more experienced tennis bettors.
Set Score
Tennis matches consist of multiple sets. With a set score bet, you bet on the exact score of just one of those sets; for example, betting on a player to win the first set with a score of 6-3.
Set Total Games
You can also bet on how many games there will be in a particular set. This number can range from 6 to 12. It could be an exact number, or could be an O/U bet.
Match Score
Much like in set score betting, you can also bet on the correct score of a match. This is always shown as the number of sets involved. For example, you could bet on Elena Rybakina to beat Ons Jabeur by 2-1 in sets. At the 2022 Wimbledon final, this bet would have been successful.
Tie Break? Yes/No
In tennis, when a set reaches 6-6, there is a tennis event known as a tie break to determine the set winner. With this type of bet, you can bet whether tie break will occur in a specific tennis match.
Player To Win At Least One Set
Compared to other bet types, here, you bet on a player to win just one set or more. This might be a good option for you if you’re a fan of the underdog, who is highly unlikely to win the match.
Tennis Accumulators
With tennis accumulators, you can add multiple bets to your bet slip, and then tick a box on your bet slip to turn it into an accumulator bet. This type of bet can often attract better odds, but they are also riskier; each of your selections has to win, in order for the accumulator bet to be successful. If any of your legs loses, you lose your stake.
In Play Tennis Betting
In Play betting (also known as live betting) is one of the most exciting bet types, as you are betting on a match that is already underway. Frequent breaks in tennis make it an ideal sport for In Play betting.
Of course, whilst the outright winner (match odds) is the most popular In Play tennis market, the other main live tennis betting markets include point betting, game betting, and set betting.
Tennis Betting Offers
Here, we will outline the main offer types available to tennis bettors and share our top three picks for the best tennis offers available today.
Welcome Offer
A Welcome offer, also known as a sign-up bonus, is a bonus offered to new customers of online sports betting sites. These usually take the form of Free bets, which are paid to the bettor once specific wagering requirements have been met. It’s important to read the terms and conditions of these offers, to ensure that you qualify for the sportsbook bonus.
Money Back If Your Bet Loses
Another popular type of promotion is one where you receive your stake back if your bet loses. Sometimes this will be in cash, other times – in the form of a Free bet. Again, certain requirements may apply to your qualifying bet (such as the minimum odds, the max qualifying bet stake), so it is important to read the relevant terms and conditions.
Enhanced Odds
Best tennis bookmakers sometimes offer enhanced odds on specific tennis markets. These are often signposted to punters as “Bet Boosts”. It’s worth shopping around between different online bookmakers to see if any are offering enhanced odds on your chosen market, giving you more bang for your buck.
Accumulator Bonus
Some tennis betting sites will offer a bonus (usually an additional percentage of your winnings) if you place an accumulator bet. Accumulator bets are bets that have more than two legs, with both parts of the bet needing to be successful, in order for the sports betting site to pay out. The additional winnings, which can be paid either as Free bets or cash, are credited upon qualifying bet settlement.

In Play Tennis Betting & Live Streaming
Tennis is ideal for live betting. Almost all legal UK tennis bookmakers offer In Play betting on tennis matches. Many betting sites also provide the option to watch top matches via live video streaming. In Play betting allows punters to place bets not only on matches listed in the pre-match section, but also on major global tennis tournaments such as the Grand Slam, ATP, WTA, as well as other minor competitions, including the ITF, Challenger, UK Pro League, and others. The main options for live tennis betting offered by the best betting sites are:
- Live Streaming. Watching tennis matches live allows for more informed betting. Bet365 and Ladbrokes typically offer a large number of live streams.
- Infographics and statistics. In the UK, the best tennis betting sites update match statistics quickly during live play. In case of the absence of live streaming, most betting sites provide visualisations of events on the court.
- Cash Out. Most bookmakers offer the option to cash out a bet early, before the end of the sporting event. The Cash Out amount depends on many factors, such as the situation on the court, the number of sets, the user’s reputation, and others. This option is available at many companies, such as Coral, 32Red, and Betway.
Tennis Betting Tips & Strategies
Are you interested in betting on tennis but feeling unsure of whom to back? Here, we will talk you through some of the best tennis betting tips and betting strategies to employ when placing a bet on tennis.
Know The Players
When betting on tennis, it’s really important to know the players involved. Most tennis fans are familiar with their favourites, but what about their opponents? It’s important to have a good knowledge of both players. What is their current form? Are they on a winning streak, or are they struggling with an injury at the moment?
It’s also important to understand how a player performs against their particular rival in the tennis game you are betting on. Often, even successful players have an opponent that they regularly lose to. Check the stats about previous matches between the two players to see if you can identify any trends.
Consider The Playing Surface
As mentioned above, it is important to consider the court surface when placing your bet. For example, Rafael Nadal is particularly successful on clay; 14 of his 22 Grand Slam wins have been reached on clay.
Meanwhile, you would be wise to back Federer on a grass court, as he has won almost 87% of his matches on grass and won Wimbledon eight times. Of course, you would be wise to consider not taking the bet if Federer was playing against Novak Djokovic, as his record on grass is almost as good, and he has had more success in recent years.
Consider Serve Quality
In tennis, the serve is a hugely important part of the game that can have a big impact on the overall score. Even if one player is statistically weak compared to another, the quality of their serve can cause the match to be a lot closer than you would expect. If a player is capable of serving unstoppable aces and winning clear games consistently, this will have a greater impact on the score than if they struggle with returning the ball after a long rally. It is also critical to note that this is only true of the men’s game; the serve is far less influential in women’s tennis so avoid this strategy when betting on, for example, the women’s final.
Find Good Value Odds
Finally, before adding your selected bet to your bet slip, shop around the different online tennis betting sites to find the best value for your bet. There may be a slight difference in the quality of the odds offered by tennis betting sites, and some of the best tennis betting sites may also offer enhanced odds on some tennis markets. Of course, you can also take advantage of any Free bets promotions that betting sites may have, to get even more bang for your buck.
Popular Tennis Events with Odds
There are many tennis competitions played around the world during the tennis season. Here, we outline the details of the major tennis tournaments, popular among tennis fans.
Wimbledon
Wimbledon is synonymous with tennis. It is the oldest tennis competition in the world, first held in 1877. It is played on outdoor grass courts, at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London. Although it is still held outside today, there have been retractable roofs over the two main courts since 2019, allowing play to continue in inclement weather.
Wimbledon is now the only one of the 4 Grand Slams (the others being Roland-Garros, the Australian Open, and the US Open) to be still played on grass. It is also the only major that does not have any matches played at night. Wimbledon, an annual summer tradition in the UK, takes place over two weeks from late June to early July, with the finals held during the last weekend.
The Gentlemen’s Singles Champion receives a prize money of £2,000,000 along with a silver gilt cup that has been awarded since 1887, inscribed with the phrase, “All England Lawn Tennis Club Single Handed Championship of the World”. As for the Ladies’ Singles Champion, the prize money is the same. However, instead of a trophy, the Ladies’ Champion is presented with a sterling silver plate called the “Venus Rosewater Dish”.

Australian Open
The Australian Open is an annual tennis tournament held at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. It is the first of the four Grand Slams to be held each year, taking place over two weeks in January. At its inception in 1905 (when it was known as the Australasian Championships) it was played on grass, but since 1988 it has been held on hardcourt surfaces. The three main courts have retractable roofs, which enable play to continue during wet weather or extreme heat, as the tournament is held during Australia’s summer.
At the AO, both the Mens’ Champion and the Womens’ Champion receive equal prize money. In 2022, the prize fund for each of the Singles winners was 2,875,000 AUD. Each winner is presented with a trophy, on which the names of all past winners are inscribed. The Women’s Singles winner is presented with the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup, while the Men’s Singles winner is presented with the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup.

French Open
With a history dating back to 1891, the championship, also known as Roland-Garros, is held in Paris, France over two weeks at the end of May. Both the tournament and its venue are named after the French aviator, Roland Garros. Played on clay, it is one of 4 Grand Slams and is believed to be the most physically demanding tennis tournament in the world.
At Roland-Garros, both men and women are awarded equal prize money of €2,200,000 for winning the Singles’ Championship. The President of the French Tennis Federation (FFT) presents the awards, with the Men’s Singles Champion receiving the Musketeers’ Cup trophy and the Women’s Singles Champion receiving the Suzanne Lenglen Cup trophy. Each cup is engraved with the names of previous winners, while the winners themselves receive a smaller replica to keep, as the original trophies remain the property of the FFT.

The US Open Tennis Championships has been held annually in Queens, New York, over two weeks starting at the end of August, since 1881. It is the fourth of the Grand Slam tournaments in the tennis calendar. It is a hardcourt tennis tournament, with the courts inside the lines being painted blue to make it easier for spectators at home and in the arena to see the ball. Revenue from television contracts, ticket sales, and sponsorships are used to develop tennis in the United States.
The prize money for both the Men’s and Women’s Singles Champions is $2,600,000. The Men’s and Women’s Singles Championship trophies are both made of sterling silver by Tiffany & Co., and both are inscribed with the names of previous winners. ATP Finals
Held in Turin, Italy, this is the championship that ends the ATP Tour season. It features the top eight men’s singles players and top eight men’s doubles teams, based on their results throughout that season. It is sometimes referred to as the ‘fifth Grand Slam’ as it is such a prestigious event to win.
First held in 1970, the tournament differs from other ATP World tour events, as players are split into two groups of four, where they all play against each other. The top two players from each group then compete against each other in the semifinals, where the winner of each match progresses to the final, which determines the champion.
Players win prize money simply for competing in the tournament, but the prize for winning the singles’ final is $1,094,000, while the doubles’ final prize is $164,000. Winners also receive a trophy.
WTA Finals
The WTA Finals are the women’s counterpart to the ATP Finals, played at the end of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) season in Los Angeles, the USA. The WTA Tour, initially known as the Virginia Slims Circuit championship, started in 1972 and has followed the same format as the ATP Finals since 2003, featuring eight singles players and eight doubles teams divided into two groups.
As with the ATP Finals, within the WTA tours, players receive prize money simply for participation, with the Singles’ Champion winning an additional $1,240,000, along with the Billie Jean King Trophy. The Doubles’ Champions receive an additional $250,000 and the Martina Navratilova Trophy.
Davis Cup
The Davis Cup is an international team event in men’s tennis, run by the International Tennis Federation. Teams from competing countries play in a knockout format and organisers describe it as the ‘World Cup of Tennis’. Starting in 1900 as a competition between Great Britain and the United States, by 2016, 135 countries entered the tournament.
Billie Jean King Cup
The Billie Jean King Cup is the women’s equivalent to the Davis Cup. It began in 1963 as the Federation Cup and was renamed in 2020 in honour of the former world number one women’s tennis player, Billie Jean King.
The Billie Jean King Cup is the world’s largest annual women’s team sports competition, given the number of nations that compete each year.
