Neds Australia Pros & Cons
Neds Reviews and Users Ratings
Match.Center's main objective is to provide the beginners and experienced users with complete and comprehensive information about every legal bookmaker operating in Australia. We have analysed the bookmaker objectively, have not distorted the information for our own benefit and have assessed the bookmaker solely from the perspective of the average user. This is why Neds only scored 7.3 out of possible 10 points. We significantly lowered our score in categories such as "Line", "Payments", "Registration & Customer Support" and "Ease of Navigation & Design". Later in the review we will explain in detail why we gave these scores for each criterion.

How to Bet with Neds
Neds is a new bookmaker, part of the Entain Group. It only started operating in the Australian betting market in 2017, but has already established itself as one of the best betting operators in the country. Read on to find out how to sign up, successfully verify your account and start betting.
How to Sign Up For Neds
Neds, like all other licensed bookmakers in Australia, is only available to people over the age of 18, who are permanently resident on the continent or in New Zealand. If you meet these criteria, you should have no problem with registration. Open the official Neds website and click "Join Now" in the top right-hand corner. You can also start the registration process in the bookmaker's app or via the mobile version of the betting website.
There are two ways to create an account at Neds:
If you choose the standard registration process, Neds will require you to specify:
Before you complete the registration and press the "Create account" button, the bookmaker will ask you to choose one of the options: "Set a Deposit Limit" or "Don't Set A Deposit Limit". You can refuse to make a deposit immediately and make it later, when it is more convenient for you.

Neds Verification
In accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, you must verify your account within 72 hours of registration This rule is not set by Neds, but by the Australian government. Unverified accounts may be blocked.
For a successful verification, you must send two documents to the Neds support team, one from each category:
Primary Photographic Identification | Primary non-Photographic Identification | Secondary Identification |
---|---|---|
Australian Driver’s Licence Australian Passport Foreign Passport Australian Proof of Age Card Australian National Identity Card Foreign National Identity Card Foreign Driver’s Licence | Australian Birth Certificate Australian Citizenship Certificate Australian Concession Card Foreign Birth Certificate Foreign Citizenship Certificate | Utility Bill Rates notice Bank statement Centrelink statement (to be issued within the last 3 months) ATO assessment notice (to be issued within the last 12 months) |
Note: If foreign documents are not in English, Neds security may require you to translate them.
If you do not complete verification in time, the bookmaker will suspend your account until the relevant documents are provided. Moreover, the bookmaker may again request the documents to verify the customer's personal details at any time at its discretion. This usually happens when the bookmaker suspects that the betting account is not being used for betting, but to hide money from the banks or the tax authorities. This is a standard document verification. This kind of verification can affect absolutely every Neds client.
Also in accordance with The Privacy Act of 1988, Neds has the right to share customers' personal data with third parties. For example:
If you would like to find out more about the Neds privacy policy, please send an email to [email protected].
How to Place a Bet on Neds online
Once you have created an account, you need to find out how to place your first bet. The process is not complicated. All you have to do is follow these steps:
All bets at Neds can be placed via the bookmaker's official website, mobile app or over the phone. The minimum bet online is $0.50, by telephone on live events is $5, and $10 on pre-match matches/races.
The maximum winnings at Neds is $500 000. Regardless of whether there was a live or a pre-match bet. The exception is an accumulator bet on the same race. In this case, the maximum payout is only $300 000 and the maximum odds are 10001.00.
The maximum payout for a Pick Your Own Odds (PYOO) bet is $25 000 and the maximum bet amount is $10 000.
Australian Neds Payment Methods
The minimum deposit amount at Neds is $5 (Visa/Mastercard, Pay ID, PayPal, POLi, Apple Pay, Neds Card and bank transfer). Flexepin has the strictest deposit requirements. Only $20 or more can be deposited via these prepaid cards.
Customer service provides contradictory information about deposit and withdrawal limits. One support operator (Mark) states that there are no minimum withdrawal limits at all. Another specialist (Cody) says that only Flexepin has a maximum deposit limit - $500 and Cash In - $5000. Both of the two support operators later admitted to using old data from the T&C's document. Neds should be ashamed of such employees. They don't know their job!

Response from the operator Cody
We’ve registered on the bookmaker's website ourselves and personally checked all the information. It turns out that only Visa/Mastercard, Pay ID, PayPal, POLi, Apple Pay, Neds Card, bank transfer and BPAY do not have maximum deposit limits. With Flexepin, however, you can only top up $1000 per day, and with Cash In you can deposit $2500 at a time.

Cash In deposit limits

Flexepin maximum deposit limit
Every time you make a deposit, you must bet the full amount of the deposit before withdrawing. If it appears that you are making deposits and withdrawals without placing any bets, Neds may freeze your account indefinitely for investigation, based on the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act of 2006. Your betting account should not be used as a bank account. You may only deposit money into your account with the intention of placing a bet or repaying any amounts owed to the bookmaker (in cases of incorrect charges in favour of the punter).
The rules state that if you make repeated deposits and withdrawals without a proportionate placing of bets, Neds is fully entitled, without a prior notice, to debit your account for any bank or other charges incurred by the company in relation to your transactions.
